FUTURE 2021/2022 YOUTH NIGHTS 7-9pm at the Parish Center (old school building). May 5, 19 June 9 Additional gatherings, outings, service, etc. will be added as we go throughout the year. Masks are required in the building. Youth Group is for everyone in 9-12 grade – whether you go to public school, Catholic high school, or are home schooled. Friends are ALWAYS welcome – they do not need to be Catholic or come to our parish. It’s not really a “group” you join – just a community you are always welcome in. Don’t stress about whether you can be ALL IN and come to every gathering or only a few. Please just come! Keep an open mind – we talk/reflect on faith, we pray, we play games, we have time in the gym, we snack a lot, we do service, we go on trips, etc. Some of it might be out of your comfort zone but we work on where faith and actual life intersect as Catholic teens and journey together. This is a safe space to just be yourself. No perfect people allowed. PLEASE RSVP to things. It makes it so much easier to plan. Come when you can, bring friends, etc but it’s helpful to know so I have enough snack and materials on hand and we start when people arrive. Join our Remind Texts – Text @olshyouth to phone # 81010 to get text updates. When you respond to them the replies come ONLY to Mrs. Sarah so feel free to write back and know its not in a group chat. If you have questions or need anything anytime, please let me know. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and lots of new ones and getting to know everyone more this year. Good luck with the start of school!!! God Bless, Mrs. Sarah Parents and Teens join our Remind Text Group for alerts by texting "@olshyouth" to phone # 81010. Do not attend if you have a fever, stomach ache, chills, or other Covid symptoms; have been knowingly exposed to Covid; or have traveled to an area on the quarantine list within the past 2 weeks. You will be asked upon arrival to verify these things. -Upon arrival each attendee (including volunteers) will have a temperature check and be asked to use hand sanitizer. Regular hand washing will be encouraged throughout. -Please enter the Main Parish Center Doors wearing a mask. Since some of our games are athletic and we include snack, we will not be masked the entire time and there are brief times your child may be near someone who is not masked. We will do our best to wear masks and maintain safety. - Snacks will be individual portions and served by gloved and masked volunteers to reduce multiple people touching utensils, reaching in bowls, etc. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Sarah at sleahy@olshop.org or 716-847-8209.
