Fall 2026 Bible Study: "The Prophets"
This will be a 10 week program - offered on Tuesdays (September 8 through November 10)
- with both morning (10:30AM) and evening sessions (6:30PM).
Full participants can purchase a workbook (must be registered before (8/31/26) for $30 (payable at the first class)
Lite participants are invited to attend and participate without the workbook for FREE!
HOWEVER, Lite participants are required to register prior to the 9/8/26 session, so as to plan for adequate space and handouts!

" Discipleship Quad " Informational Memo
" Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations ..." (Matthew 28:19)
* The Discipleship Quad process will provide you with the opportunity to explore the goodness, truth and beauty of the Catholic faith. And it will empower you to live and share the faith with others. (Being part of a Discipleship Quad also brings the additional blessing of forming authentic, long-lasting friendships.)
* A Discipleship Quad is a group of 4 men or 4 women meeting together on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) - to share their faith in Jesus Christ and to grow as His disciples.
* The Discipleship Quad process is resource led. "Discipleship Quad Guidebooks" are used to provide the structure and content needed for the growth of the Quad members. The guidebooks provide simple lessons for Catholics based upon the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. All material is a 100% faithful to the magisterium of the Catholic Church.
* Each member commits to completing a lesson in the guidebooks prior to meeting with the group. For most people, this time of individual prayer and study typically takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
* The Quad uses the content of the guidebooks as the basis for the group meetings. Ideally, these meetings should take no more than 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The books also include a detailed plan for running meetings. A rotating facilitator manages the timing and the flow of each meeting.
* "The Discipleship Quad Guidebooks" can be downloaded and printed for FREE at dquads.com or purchased on Amazon (for around $10).
* Meetings can be held in a home, coffee shop, or meeting room - as long as the space is convenient and allows for privacy and intimacy.
* After the 3rd group meeting, each participant is asked to commit themselves to the quad group for all 43 meetings.
* IMPORTANT * one of the main goals of the Discipleship Quad process is for each participant to form a NEW Quad when the group has completed their 43rd meeting. (See Matthew 28:19) This provides exponential growth for the Kingdom of God

The Contemplative Prayer Group
The group meets every Monday evening from 7:30 to 9:00PM in the OLSH Chapel
During the months of June through September, we meet on the Church patio.
They also meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month in the Parish Center from 8:30 to 11:15AM

Clear out Your Cans & Bottles and Help Our OLSH Youth Group
Our High School Youth Group has an account at 12th Man Bottle & Can Redemption,
just 1 mile from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at 1785 Abbott Rd., Lackawanna at the corner of Abbott and Martin Rd. They are open 6 days a week. Just drop off your bottles and cans and tell them or mark the bags for the "OLSH Your Group", no need to wait. We will receive the deposits in a monthly check. GLASS BOTTLES must be in their cases or a cardboard box, this is a safety issue. All monies collected will help our youth group to participate in faith-building events and provide resources the group gatherings at the parish.
