Just sharing from our Youth Group here at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish, on their pilgrimage / trip to the National Catholic Youth Convention (NCYC) in Indianapolis, this past November.
Thank you so very much, for all of your many prayers and donations. We could not have made this trip as special as it was without you.
I am so glad I had this opportunity.
-Allison Crandall (10th grade)
Thank you so much for supporting our trip to NCYC. With the help we received it made the trip so much easier and provided us with more opportunities. I was able to re-center myself with Christ and change my perspective on my life. Thank to you, I am coming back from NCYC on fire.”
-Patrick Coughlin (12th grade)
Thank you so much for your abundant prayers, donations, and support that has provided us with the opportunity to pilgrimage to NCYC. This experience has shown me how important it is to continually seek and build meaningful connections not just with God but with the Body of Christ as well. I hope I can take from this experience that excitement, passion, and faith filled energy back to our parish! I can't say thank you enough for this gift that you have given my group and I,
and how it has truly changed my life.
-Kaitlyn LaGraff (12th grade)
Thank you! This trip helped me to see how beautiful my religion is.
-Julianno Ranic (10th grade)

And from our OLSH Youth Minister - Mrs Sarah Leahy
I can never express enough appreciation for the prayers, love, and financial support the parish continues to show our young people. Eight of us returned from the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) a couple weeks ago filled with the Holy Spirit. This year was extra special and historic with Pope Leo XIV doing a live Zoom call with the 16,000 people present in Indianapolis. I encourage all parishioners to find the video link (search for “Pope Leo NCYC”) on YouTube or EWTN and watch this incredible encounter. Our teenagers from OLSH truly leaned into the entire experience and brought their hearts to the table – joyfully praising, attentively listening to speakers, celebrating Reconciliation, Mass and Adoration, and interacting with each other and others without fear of judgement or hiding behind devices. Over the next couple weeks, I will include some of their reflections in the bulletin so you can hear it from them.
We prayed for you and your intentions at every meal we shared and carried you in our hearts as our church family.
I invite all young people connected to our parish to contact me and join us at future youth group events to keep this community growing, sharing, and thriving in Christ.
