I would like to take a moment to express my deep thanks to all
who have helped make my transition to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish such a
peaceful one. I truly feel like I am a welcomed addition to this parish
community. Your kind well wishes and willingness to offer help where needed is a
true example of the spirit of this parish. I hope to offer what I can to
continue to spread this spirit of fellowship, generosity and love.
Special thanks to all those who helped organize the reception after Mass. It was
beautiful (even if you did sneak some of those pictures from my parents!). It
was a nice opportunity to get to meet many of you.
Thank You to all the parish staff who helped make my move easier by hurrying to
get things ready for me to move in at such short notice. I look forward to
working with you even if I am not as computer-savvy as Fr. Matt.
Thank You to Fr. Paul, Fr. Joe, Deacon Tom, Deacon Bill, and our parish
Seminarian, Alexander, for making my transition an easy one and for making my
welcome Mass such a special one by concelebrating at the Altar with me. (Thanks,
too, to Fr. Paul for not succumbing to the financial offers from individuals who
were willing to pay for past stories!)
As I begin this new phase of priesthood at OLSH please know that if I can be of
assistance in any way, just let me know—and be assured of my continued prayers
as together we build the kingdom of God here at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
